Glassboard 2.0

In case you’re not familiar with Glassboard, here’s the deal: what Pair is to the bedroom, and Path is to the rec room, Glassboard is to the board room. (Hence “board” in the name. “Glass” refers to your phone’s screen.) In other words, it’s great for teams (whether co-workers or not). It uses the same statuses, comments, and sharing that we’re all used to from social networks — except that Glassboard is private.

Nice looking new version from Brent Simmons and Sepia Labs.

“what Pair is to the bedroom, and Path is to the rec room, Glassboard is to the board room.”

That tells me absolutely nothing. From the screenshots i looks like yet another social network.

Full disclosure: I work for Glassboard! As we launched 2.0 we wanted to target small businesses and teams. The kind of people that follow you on Path aren’t necessarily your colleagues. The wording is a marketing slogan. Yes, it’s a social network. The way we use it reflects all the small social networks we have in real life (my colleagues, my group of friends, my bowling team, etc.). As people shy away from the openness of Facebook they are turning to smaller, more private social networks. We’re part of this wave! Path is private too, isn’t it?
