I would really like to know your opinion on the quality of the Dual Rectifier emulation (mainly for sounds on the border between clean and crunch).
Also, you wrote about the Eleven Rack several times. Would be interesting to know which device you choose for which purpose (as one can certainly not reproduce the sounds of the other?).
I would really love, if somebody would make a great device that exists (identically in sounds and features) in both a rack (for the studio) and a stage (stomp box) version… It may be just me, but I hate using stomp boxes when sitting at a desk/console… Roland used to have such a product, unfortunately it sounded awful.
I like Line 6’s Treadplate amp. To be honest, I mostly use it for that really crunchy tone, but if you back off the gain to clean it up and then put a screamer on it, it should work.
The Eleven Rack is a great unit, but different than the HD500. ER has a lot of advantages when using Pro Tools, like instant recall of recorded guitar settings. Sound is incredible too.
Stompboxes are difficult to use at a desk. Maybe the Pod Pro and HD500?
