∞ Google+ Pages

In life we connect with all kinds of people, places and things. There’s friends and family, of course, but there’s also the sports teams we root for, the coffee shops we’re loyal to, and the TV shows we can’t stop watching (to name a few). So far Google+ has focused on connecting people with other people. But we want to make sure you can build relationships with all the things you care about—from local businesses to global brands—so today we’re rolling out Google+ Pages worldwide.

Google is putting a lot into its social networking venture.

I take it you’ll be publishing your stories to a new Loop page fairly soon?

Lots of people continue to claim G+ is a lame duck that has no reason to exist. For web non-celebs like myself I find it to be much more engaging than twitter. Responding to influential people on twitter often gets you no response. At least on G+ comments aren’t completely lost in the ether.

Now I’m not saying twitter is inferior to G+, I actually use twitter more than any other web service. It’s the best news source hands down. It’s even better for people like you who actually get responses to your tweets. I just get sick of hearing those same people claiming G+ brings nothing else to the table. For normal people, it does.

I think Twitter is inferior to G+, but it’s kind of difficult to compare them. For all intent & purpose, Twitter has turned into RSS Reader 2.0.

I like G+, but there simply aren’t enough people I know on it to put too much time into it.
