∞ Jobs died of respiratory arrest

CNN:

Apple co-founder Steve Jobs died of respiratory arrest brought on by a pancreatic tumor, a public health official said Monday.

Not that it should be any great surprise to people who tracked Jobs’ health, but understanding how he passed may give some folks a sense of closure.

Like most folks with cancer (in the end)…….   :(

Jim, 2¢, I would prefer that further details not be published.

If Steve Jobs were still alive would you post the details of his treatments and setbacks?

I feel his family’s privacy is being invaded by publishing these details.

Of course, I understand many different people and their view points are served by what you choose to publish on the Loop. So I’ll just skip stories about the final days and moments of Jobs’ life.

Those memories and details belong to the people who Jobs chose to share them with.

Jim didn’t post this story, I did. That’s why my name is on the byline.

      Your objection is noted.

Further to this, I have already started to see the idea bandied about that Jobs harmed himself by delaying treatment, and even the idea that the neuroendocrine tumor wasn’t a form of cancer and that had Jobs not been resistant to standard treatments, he would have beaten this entirely.

As noted by several medical experts, Jobs condition ran it’s course. There is no second guessing to be done.

Yeah, we’ll be pummeling this idea to death on this week’s Angry Mac Bastards.

            Eeeeeeexcellent….

And thus ends all custom I gave to Angry Mac Bastards.

For all we know, he could have gone in for ‘the right treatment’ and he would have been dead 4 years ago.

Or he would have survived only to have been hit by a bus

In the end does it matter how he died or what may or may not have caused it. A man is dead. A family grieves. The proper thing is to let them have their peace and move on to something else. Like, shocking thought, finally honoring Mr Jobs repeated requests that the media focus on Apple’s products and not the personal lives of the people in the company

I have to agree. I find it callous and tacky to persist in milking Mr Jobs death in this game of hit baiting. Especially at this level.

If the blogs lack any sense of decorum or respect for Mr Jobs perhaps they will find some in regards to his family who loved him and is grieving his loss no matter how much they should have been expecting it.

I can understand CNN, CNET etc lacking in all decorum in the name of getting hundreds of hits. But The Loop always seemed to front that they are not like everyone else and have a sense of tact. Pity to see that they lied.
