Former eBay CEO Meg Whitman is being considered by Hewlett-Packard directors as a possible candidate for CEO, in a move that would replace its current leader Léo Apotheker, according to several sources close to the situation.

I wonder if Apotheker knew. Well, he does now.

    Well, HP is on quite a roll. What other dumb decision would they make. Hire somebody who could actually fix things? That would be out of character now.

    Keep it up HP, and people will be comparing you to the CEOs that lead Apple and IBM in the 90s.

    They’re going to build a WebOS-based eBay clone and sell off the rest of the company piecemeal.
