∞ Bob Seger comes to iTunes, finally

Detroit Free Press:

“It’s probably the best delivery system ever invented, but the industry gave up a lot of quality to have that system,” [Seger manager Ed 'Punch'] Andrews said. “At some point, if this is what everybody is accepting, we know we have to keep current. But if we were going to do this, we needed to make sure it was as great as we could make it.”

Now where’s AC/DC and Tool?

Tool’s songs are too long to show up in the iTunes store.

I wonder why there is so much drama with Michigan born / based artists (Seger, Eminem, Kid Rock,) and iTunes.

Right now, there is a free Bob Seger EP with six tracks available in the iTunes store.

See it wasn’t about the money, it was that the broad/tall soundscape perfection that is your typical BOB SEGER mixdown was going to be totally destroyed by AAC compression.

    Bish pleeze.

You can’t argue for quality when some of your albums were released on 8-track. That said, good to see him on the iTMS.

Hey if Nine Inch Nails and Paul Simon can deliver Apple Lossless and FLAC from their websites, why not Bob?

And dang, they missed releasing it on May 28th, Michigan’s “Bob Seeger Day.”

The question now is- will we finally get the unedited version of “Let It Rock” from “Nine Tonight”?

Great, now Apple, please complete Mitch Ryder’s catalog already… There is some true gold in Michigan.

And once you are at it… would really love to finally upgrade my Zappa albums to iTunes Plus some time.
