∞ MacUpdate software bundle: 11 Mac apps for $50

MacUpdate on Wednesday kicked off its annual software bundle deal. This year they are offering 11 Mac apps for $49.99 — the apps purchased separately would cost $487. Apps in this year’s bundle include Toast 11 Titanium, Data Rescue 3 and Fantastical, among others.

    This is a great deal, especially if you actually get the full Toast Titanium 11. The one concern I have is when you get Toast Titanium you get the ability to burn Blu-ray discs according to Roxio’s website. But the description at MacUpdate says “Pro” parenthetically after the statement about supporting burning Blu-ray discs, which makes me think they pulled the Blu-ray plug-in for this promotion version.

    It’s not that big a deal, except for the fact I was considering the new LG M-Disc drives that lets you write to special metal discs for much longer-term storage than regular DVDs. And the drive I was looking at burns Blu-ray discs too. Too bad they’re confusing things by not stating it more clearly.
