Thanks for the reminder. I need some fat bottom girls…I mean I want to listen to…Oh hell, forget it.

I have never been a Queen fan, don’t own a single album, but thanks to my at-that-time girlfriend, I have seen Queen playing live three times. What May writes is no hyperbole, this guy was a natural phenomenon on stage. I have seen quite a few of the greats live (no matter if blues, jazz, punk or crunch – I just could never stand plain mainstream), but Freddie was the greatest performer I have seen, with only John Cale (in his mad Eighties), Mitch Ryder and that guy from The Tubes getting anywhere close. History books are full with people that should really be forgotten, Freddie should be remembered.

Mr Mercury was a genius. It is so sad he had to leave us so young. It would have been interesting to see how he evolved like Elton John.

Mercury was an astonishing talent who brought extraordinary theatricality to rock. He deserved better than to die of a disease that conservative governments chose to ignore. We lost too many brilliant minds to that shameful time.

I was introduced to Queen at a young age, as my mother was a huge fan. I can’t remember how many times I’ve sat in the car with my mother, listening to Queen, singing along loudly.

To this day I have a Queen playlist on my iPhone always.
