∞ iTunes 10.4.1 fixes problems

Apple has released iTunes 10.4.1, an update that’s available for download through the Software Update system preference.

Apple says that 10.4.1 offers a “number of improvements.” Ones that Apple breaks out specifically include:

  • Fixes a problem where the media keys on some third-party keyboards work inconsistently with iTunes
  • Addresses issues with adding artwork to songs and videos
  • Resolves an issue which may cause iTunes to become unresponsive when purchasing an HD movie
  • Fixes a problem where iTunes may take longer than expected to open after waking your Mac from sleep
  • Addresses issues with VoiceOver support

I definitely noticed that dragging album artwork from a Safari window to an open Info window in iTunes was messed up. I used to be able to just drag the image anywhere in the window. Now I have to have the artwork box selected first and drag the image into the box. It doesn’t sound like much, but it was a pain for my workflow. Hopefully this fixes that.

While I’m here, I’ll mention that Album Art Exchange is the hugely useful website where I download (and occasionally upload) album art.

@SSteve:disqus Are you saying it’s better now? I hate it! I used to like dragging anywhere. This update ruins it.
