∞ T-Mobile slams the iPad

BGR.com:

A new page on T-Mobile USA’s website makes some fairly bold claims about the carrier’s premier Honeycomb tablet, the LG G-Slate. In comparing the sleek device to its steepest competition at AT&T and Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile says the G-Slate is “more than two times faster than the Apple iPad 2 on AT&T and Verizon, and three times faster than the Motorola XOOM on Verizon — and it’s less expensive, too!”

Whatever. Good luck with that.

more than 2 times faster at what? Sucking?

OMG. These people just aren’t getting the memo that this is not and has not been for a while about feeds and speeds – Ecosystem people!  Think ecosystem…

They’ve got to market what aspects they feel can compare favorably. They don’t have an abundance of those, so they have to choose something to be the message.

Yeah but speed is probably one of the least relevant aspects that they could have chosen. That was the industry conversation back in the 90s. It hasn’t been a differentiator for years. It’s almost like they are trying to compare tablets to desktops which just reinforces how disconnected it is.

Blah, blah, blah. As they say, talk is cheap. When they sell half as many as iPads as Apple does, then they should open their mouths. Apple can’t make the iPads fast enough to meet the demand.

If you say it to your self enough times…..it becomes true!

I hope it’s cheaper it’s a piece of shit with no apps, and no support after you buy it.

Pretty much demonstrates why TMo is on the auction block. It’s 2011 and they’re trying to sell by emphasizing features that nobody cares about. If the goal of the AT&T merger is to get all the dim bulbs in one room then I guess success is in sight.

T-Mobile also says the G-Slate has “Adobe Flash support for full, rich, Web browsing.” Well, thank god for that, because the other failing Android tablets certainly don’t have Flash, so this is a major selling point!

Oh, wait, they do, and it’s performance bites and battery drain is horrendous, and their sales are pretty low. So, I guess Flash doesn’t matter…
