∞ Griffin, Crayola introduce software and stylus for iPad

Griffin Technology and Crayola on Wednesday announced the release of Crayola ColorStudio HD for iPad. It’s software that combines with an “iMarker,” a marker-shaped stylus which lets kids draw and create on their iPad. The software is available for free – the marker stylus costs $29.99, and is available from Apple retail stores, Best Buy and Griffin.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]The drawing app features more than 30 animated coloring pages, pictures, sound effects and music. Users can design their own coloring pages using a library of included backgrounds, music, sound effects and other elements. Artwork can then be e-mailed, uploaded to Facebook and printed from the iPad (to any AirPrint-enabled printer).

The software can differentiate automatically between finger input and the iMarker, so if you can’t get your hands on the device, you can still use the software.
