∞ iTunes Festival London 2011 is live

Apple’s iTunes Festival is underway in London. You can watch the concerts using an app Apple released on the App Store. Here’s some info I posted on the event on June 21:

The festival runs from July 1-31 2011 — 31 consecutive nights of music. There will be a total of 60 artists performing over the 31 days at the Roundhouse in London. If it doesn’t sound like it can get any better, how about this — every ticket to the festival is free.

Artists in this year’s line-up include Coldplay, Linkin Park, Foo Fighters, Paul Simon, Bruno Mars, Adele, My Chemical Romance, Duran Duran, Lang Lang and Moby, among many others.

Of course, with AirPlay support on your iPhone and iPad, you can even watch the shows on your big screen TV.

The app is a free download from the App Store.

Paul Simon and his band kicked things off. They were great! Their performance ran just over 2 hrs. Didn’t realize the tickets were free….wow!!

Ya, Paul Simon and band were just awesome. Great selection of songs, old & new.

Other than a few instances where the stream quit for a minute or two (at least for me it did), I was really impressed with the video quality on my 24″ iMac. Thanks Apple!
