It would be nice, because right now they’re waving around the term 4g like it’ll solve global warming and cool down TEPCO reactors, and half the time they’re applying the term to 3g technology.

Passage of this bill would be a good start towards treating carriers like any other utility, something they’ve resisted since their businesses were deregulated by the right wing.
Variability doesn’t prevent the carriers from advertising speeds, just delivering what they advertise.
