∞ Video: Recalling Eleven Rack presets in Pro Tools

I’ve used quite a few software applications to record my guitar into my Mac Pro. Avid’s Eleven Rack has some great features that help save you from diaster.

[ad#Google Adsense 300x250 in story]Unfortunately, sometimes I spend a lot of time building a guitar preset only to lose it all by closing the app or changing presets by mistake.

A preset is basically all of the amp and effects settings you choose in the software app. Some guitarists spend hours on these settings, dialing in the perfect tone, so it’s really painful when they’re lost.

In this video, I’ll give you a view of how Avid’s Eleven Rack deals with presets, so you don’t necessarily have to lose your changes.

Very cool Jim! The software that you use offers tremendous power to shape, record and edit the songs you are working on. Both Pro Tools & Eleven Rack are more for the high end user that has the experience that you have. Pro Tools at around $600 & is expensive, but I can see how worth it is from what can be done with it. Eleven Rack is $900 plus here in Ontario, so this equipment is far out of my affordability range for now, but wow, does it ever look cool with what you can do with it!

Still, it’s fascinating for me to see what is out there and what can be done with these awesome pieces of technology. As a relative beginner, I’m not quite the target market for this, at least with Eleven Rack, but it gives me an idea what I might be able to do in the future.

I’m glad you showed us what you can do with this great equipment. I could watch you work on this stuff for hours! I still await a piece I know you’ll get to for guys like me with modest budgets and are just starting out & would like to build a small home studio with affordable gear, but this is still a whole lotta fun to watch what can be done with stuff like this.

Thanks for the look see into this cool stuff!
