Apple has reportedly finished work on its iTunes cloud music service and will launch it ahead of Google, its main competition in this market.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]According to a report on Reuters, Apple’s service will allow users to store music on remote servers and access music via the Internet. Reuters says it has multiple sources that did not want to be named.
Google, who is also working on a cloud music service is running into some problems, according to the report.
“They keep changing what they’re asking for,” said a label executive who asked not to be named.
Apple in 2009 purchased the Lala streaming music service and shut it down in April 2010.

Wow, for a tech site, no one is paying any attention to what Amazon has already done to the both of them? I am not saying Amazon Cloud HD’s will overtake iTunes any time soon, but it already beat everyone to the market.
Also the Amazon Cloud app is already on Android phones and soon to be on BB’s. Amazon has already thrown the first punch at Apple by not supporting Apple portable devices. But its more a jab, since Apple already has the fan base of iTunes, they can counter with a right cross of their own…
This is an Apple based tech site. It covered Amazon’s offering when it was released. However as you said, it doesn’t support Apple devices. In fact, since it is built in HTML 5 and not Flash, Amazon has gone out of its way to piss off loyal customers who also happen to own iOS devices.
