∞ Authorized Steve Jobs biography coming in 2012

Simon & Schuster on Sunday said that a biography of Steve Jobs would be released in 2012.

[ad#Google Adsense 300x250 in story]The big difference between this book and other attempts to write about Jobs in the past is that this is an authorized biography, according to AppleInsider.

The book will be titled “iSteve: The Book of Jobs” and will be written by former Time executive Walter Isaacson. The author has reportedly interviewed Jobs, family members, co-workers and competitors for the book.

“This is the perfect match of subject and author, and it is certain to be a landmark book about one of the world’s greatest innovators,” Jonathan Karp, publisher of Simon & Schuster, said in a statement. “Just as he did with Einstein and Benjamin Franklin, Walter Isaacson is telling a unique story of revolutionary genius.”

No doubt this will be a best-seller.

Can’t wait to read this, being able to read about a living revolutionist during your lifetime is something special.

Hagiography. There might be some good anecdotes in this book, but I’ll be surprised if there are any real revelations about the man.

@Moeskido – Thanks for the new word (hagiography). Ironically, thanks to Steve I was able to learn it toot sweet with a simple ‘right-click’ and another single. I wouldn’t buy any authorised biography, as it makes trusting its content too difficult and time is not for wasting. (A main reason why I use Macs.) orbitalsun

My pleasure. I think of that word a lot these days because there are so many of them.
