∞ Firefox 4 arrives

Mozilla on Tuesday released Firefox 4, the next generation of its Web browser.

[ad#Google Adsense 300x250 in story]Firefox 4 comes with a brand new user interface and the ability to add Personas that you design or you can choose one created by other users. With the add-ons, you can listen to music or do things like update your Facebook profile from within the browser.

Firefox also includes sync that will keep your mobile and desktop browser’s history, passwords, bookmarks in sync. You can also rearrange and organize your toolbars and buttons to fit your needs with Firefox 4.

Firefox 4 is a free download from the Mozilla Web site. As of this writing, the browser has been downloaded more than 431,000 times.

Very good browser, but less-than-stellar UI design.Skinning it with themes, personalities, or human flesh is a patch on a job that was never completed.

The UI doesn’t bother me much anymore. While the launch time is much faster than previous versions, it’s still not as fast as Safari or Chrome – and that’s about the only thing that bothers me anymore.
