∞ iPhoto, Aperture update adds new RAW image compatibility

Apple on Thursday released an update for users of its iPhoto and Aperture photo software, adding RAW image compatibility for a number of cameras.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]According to notes provided with the update, Apple Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 3.5 adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11:

  • Canon PowerShot G12
  • Leica D-Lux 5
  • Leica V-Lux 2
  • Nikon D7000
  • Nikon COOLPIX P7000
  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2
  • Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2

The update can be downloaded via the software update control panel in Mac OS X or from Apple’s Support Web site.
