∞ Gorillaz new album made on an iPad

Gorillaz frontman Damon Albarn hopes to make music history by creating his new album completely on an iPad.

[ad#Google Adsense 300x250 in story]Speaking with NME.com on Friday, Albarn said he has been working on the follow-up to “Plastic Beach” while on the road with the band. He hopes to release the new album before Christmas, taking advantage of holiday sales.

“I’ve made it on an iPad — I hope I’ll be making the first record on an iPad,” said Albarn. “I fell in love with my iPad as soon as I got it, so I’ve made a completely different kind of record.”

Albarn didn’t specify any of the apps used to record the album or the process he went through to make it.

Wow, just WOW! I wonder if this will make it into an iPad commercial.

I’d be surprised if Studio Track wasn’t one of the apps.

And I guess this is another one in the eye for those who claim iPad is for consumption, not creation.

I’d be fascinated to hear about the process.
