∞ iPhoto 9.0.1 update fixes library upgrade problem

Apple on Friday released an update to iPhoto, version 9.0.1. It’s available through the Software Update system preference and also from Apple’s Web site.

[ad#Google Adsense 300x250 in story]iPhoto 9 is the newest major update to iPhoto. It’s included with Apple’s recently released iLife ’11 suite of applications, introduced earlier this month at Apple’s “Back to the Mac” event in Cupertino.

Users working with previous versions of iPhoto are required to upgrade their photo libraries in order to use iPhoto 9. Some users reported problems which prevented the upgrade from occurring successfully.

Apple has posted a technical note explaining the problem and outline instructions for what to do if you experience problems.

    Great. But what about those of us that have already upgraded and lost photos? I have a backup but how do I downgrade back to iPhoto 09?

  • Craig

    @Chris

    iPhoto 9 (P/O iLife 11) not iLife 09.

    This is ridiculous, claiming that it’s a user error even though it is clearly a software issue that was found after the fact is unacceptable, I have just lost over 7 years worth of information and have found that apple has been very uncooperative. Do NOT purchase this product!
