∞ Study: iPhone users have more sex

There are a lot of considerations when purchasing a smartphone. We consider storage, camera, apps and many other things, but now we stats on one more data point: sex.

The news comes from OkTrends, the blog of dating site OkCupid. In all the site calculated sexual partner data for 9,785 users with smartphones. That’s a good number for any survey.

The most popular phones in the study were the iPhone, BlackBerry and Android phones.

Looks like Apple is helping its users out in more ways than just providing them with over 200,000 apps to download.

    Apart from the fact that the selectiveness of the data source makes this information meanignless, it is fallacious to equate number of sexual partners with amount of sex.

    It is, however, still funny.

    This study provides a great contrast to the 100-people-or-so study that everybody was citing from only a week ago.

    Correlation is not causation. Alphas get more sex because we are Alphas, which is also why we use iPhones.

    Is it possible the iPhone users thought the survey was specifically referring to phone sex?

    The two charts shown are not an indication of how frequently the different phone users actually HAVE sex, but rather how many different people the iPhone users are willing to hook up with. Maybe there is a correlation between iPhone users and cast members/viewers of Jersey Shore.
