One of the guitar resources I use the most on the Web, Ultimate-Guitar.com, has jumped into the iPhone app business.
The Ultimate Guitar Tabs iPhone app allows users to do a simple search with the artist name or song name, similar to the way the Web site search works. You can do an advanced search where you can search by Tab type (guitar Tabs, chords, bass Tabs), part of the song (intro, solo, chorus), difficulty level, tuning and rating.
If you add a tab to your favorites list, it will be available for offline browsing, which is always a plus. A Tab Pack section includes collections of pre-loaded, pre-selected such as skills level (Easy, Medium, Advanced), music genres (Rock, Metal, Punk), and special occasions (Love songs, Xmas songs).
The app also features auto-scroll, a feature that moves the tabs for you, so you can follow along with manually moving the page up.
The Ultimate-Guitar.com iPhone app costs $1.99 and is available from the App Store.
