My favorite drum loop company, Beta Monkey, released two new drum libraries for Rock musicians and engineers.
The libraries have been released as Drum Werks XV and Drum Werks XVI, but both are “Rock Essentials.” Both collections were recorded in an L.A. studio with a professional drummer.
Beta Monkey describes the releases as “no-nonsense, hard-hitting, rock drumming. From powerful slow grooves to aggressive up-tempo beats.”
I’ve been using these loops for the last few days and that description sums up exactly what I found. When you dig into a collection of loops, you typically find a few favorites that you know you will use.
The problem I had was trying to decide which loop to use because there are so many good ones. This is easily my favorite drum loop release in a long time.
Drum Werks XV and Drum Werks XVI cost $24.99 each and can be downloaded from the company’s Web site.
