∞ Wife vents on Twitter at husband that left for SXSW

There’s trouble in paradise. A self-professed “pissed off wife” is posting openly on Twitter about her husband leaving on their anniversary weekend to attend South by Southwest (SXSW). The bio for @ScrewYouSXSW is a gem:

My husband f****d off to Austin on our anniversary weekend for South by Southwest. Asshole. Follow me to see what happens in his absence.

So what happens is his absence?

Uh Oh. New text from hubby “We need to talk when I get home on Tuesday.” Should I tell him that I’m leaving for Hawaii on Tues?

Anniversaries come and go, they say. Divorce settlements only come around once, maybe twice in a lifetime.

Worst text to-date from husband “wish I could check-in to your pants this morning” WRONG F*****G DAY TO BE SAYING THAT ASSHOLE.

    She needs to calm down.

If it isn't work related to be at SxSW — and maybe even if it is depending on the need — I think she has every right to be angry. :)

Considering none of us know this couple personally or know anything substantive about their relationship, we can't judge either of them on the basis of a one-sided conversation.

    Still funny, though.

I'm not judging, I just thought it was funny as hell :D

SxSW is a big party. I don't know how much work-related it can really be ;)

A person finds the most public way she can to spew forth hatred against her spouse. And that's funny? Classless, venomous, grotesque, hateful… yeah, I'll agree with characterizations such as those. Funny? No.

This isn't a random internet guy being stodgy by the way. This is a person board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology reminding you that there's a difference between someone making angry but insightful comments on stage and a person trying their utmost to be as hateful as possible in the most public way possible. Just as there's a difference between to how we're supposed to react when we see actions taken by The Three Stooges vs in real life. I still laugh (well okay, laugh) at the Three Stooges; but that hasn't impaired my ability to immediately see the guy insulting and hitting each other in public isn't a thing to chuckle at. By the same token, there's a difference between seeing decomposed corpses on CSI vs Hustler wanting to print pics of a real murdered girl. Don't lose sight of those critical differences.

Never lose your ability to distinguish what's real from what's not, what's serious from what's not. Lighten up when the parties involved aren't so serious, and when it's not real.

Speaking of judging… I love being scolded over a supposition.

Another audition to a reality show no doubt.

Yeah this completely smells "publicity stunt" to me.

Yes – the first few hours "felt" real, but everything since feels like another Boy in a Balloon stunt. I still followed her on Twitter though… It is funny stuff.

It's funny, but I highly doubt that the account is for real.

If her husband was a REAL gem, he would have taken wifey to the festival. SXSW is the TRUTH!
