If you’re a movie buff, this is going to be a big weekend for you. The 82nd Annual Academy Awards take place on Sunday with hosts Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin. Seeing those two together may be enough of a reason to watch the awards. Here are nine apps for iPhone and iPod touch users to keep track of everything related to the Oscars.

The Oscars: This is the official app from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The app features a complete nominee list, insider information on each nominated film and viewable trailers. You can also share your picks through Facebook, Twitter, text and email and then get real-time results to see how you did. (Free)

IMDb: The Internet Movie Database is filled with information, including Best Picture award winners, U.S. box office results and celebrity birthdays. You can also scan user and critic’s reviews of movies. (Free)

Awards: The Oscar: This app gives you all of the nominations for every Academy Award since 1927, including 2010. You can search for winners and nominees by year or category and you can search for a specific actor. ($1.99)

Vanity Fair Hollywood: Vanity Fair allows you to join voting groups and chat with friends over Facebook chat from within the app. You can also make your winner choices using content from vf.com. (Free)

Actor Genie: The aspiring actor needs some help and this app aims to give you all you need. Actor Genie gives you a directory of agents, managers, casting directors and their assistants. ($9.99)

Six Degrees of Separation: The pop culture phenomenon in an iPhone app. This game relies on connecting the two actors on each end of the Walk of Fame to each other. There is no doubt this will be challenging. ($1.99)

Rotten Tomatoes: This list just wouldn’t be complete without mentioning Rotten Tomatoes. The app has a database of over 75,000 titles, allowing you to see the reviews, get detailed movie data and watch trailers. (Free)

The Red Carpet: Not only will the app give you the buzz about the Oscars and the ability to share info with your friends on Twitter and Facebook, but it also gives you a chance to win $1,000,000. ($2.99)

E! Online: We all know about the TV shows and Web site, but now you can get E! on the iPhone. As you would expect, the app gives you breaking entertainment news, photos and videos. (Free)
