Apple updates iLife Support, Digital Camera Raw Compatibility

By Peter CohenFebruary 9, 2010, 5:25 pm PT

Apple on Tuesday released Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 3.0. The update extends raw image compatibility both for iPhoto ‘09 and the new Aperture 3. It has also released iLife Support 9.0.4.

Digital Camera Raw Compatibility Update 3.0 adds support for the Canon PowerShot S90, Leica D-LUX 4, and three Panasonic Lumix models – the DMC-G1, DMC-GH1 and DMC-LX3. It also supports Canon’s sRAW and mRAW formats.

System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.5.8 or Mac OS X 10.6.2.

iLife Support 9.0.4 updates system software shared by iLife and other apps. It provides compatibility between Aperture 3 and the Media Browser integrated into iLife applications. It also improves overall stability for Media Browser and iPhoto slideshows.

Apple recommends all users of iLife ‘09, iWork ‘09 and Aperture install the new iLife Support release. iLife Support is available for download through the Software Update system preference.
