∞ Apple releases MobileMe Gallery iPhone app

Apple on Thursday released a new iPhone app for users of its MobileMe online service.

MobileMe Gallery [iTunes Link] allows users to view their gallery photos and movies on the iPhone or iPod touch. Because you sign-in using your MobileMe password, you can view public and password protected galleries associated with your account.

You can also flick through photos and use the pinch gestures, rotate photos, view your friends galleries and movies, access previously posted photos when offline and share links to an album from the iPhone.

MobileMe Gallery is free from the App Store.

I'm really surprised this didn't come out earlier. I see no mention of being able to upload to your galleries, so I assume that will be a feature for v2.0.

    Better late than never.

Great post! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and article.

If I want to get a hold of you, what would be the best way to get in touch? I’d love to run some ideas by you one of these days…related to mobile. Thanks a lot and I look forward to connecting with you soon.

    Regards,

What I like is Apple's incremental enhancing and expanding of its MobileMe system. They keep adding stuff to make the subscription more and more worth it.

I use iDisk and its large file sharing all the time and like the web interface to it. I also love the synching which has made occasional iPhone problems very easy and painless to recover from.

The other Apple iPhone app I love is Remote. I can control both iTunes on my iMac, but also my Apple TV. It's easier than using the little white remotes.
