Digidesign on Wednesday released an update for Pro Tools, adding support for Apple’s Snow Leopard operating system.
Pro Tools LE 8.0.3 adds support for Mac OS X 10.6.1 – 10.6.2 and continues to support the previous operating system Leopard 10.5.5 – 10.5.8. PowerPC Macs are not compatible with Pro Tools 8.0.3, so you will need an Intel-based Mac.
Digidesign said previous versions of Pro Tools are not compatible with Snow Leopard. Original Mbox hardware units are also not supported with this update.
The updater will also update any AIR plug-ins installed in your plug-ins folder when the Pro Tools 8.0.3 updater is run. The 1.65GB update is available from the Digidesign Web site.
