Namco brings Ace Combat games to iPhone, iPod touch

Namco Networks on Thursday released Ace Combat Xi: Skies of Incursion, the first iteration of their popular aircraft dogfighting game for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available for download from the App Store for $4.99.

acecombat 300x201 Namco brings Ace Combat games to iPhone, iPod touchAce Combat puts you in the cockpits of different aircraft as you join Falco Squadron on missions to down enemy forces. The game features real-world aircraft and terrain generated from real satellite images.

Features include downloadable content, support for multiple languages, and an original story unique to the iPhone/iPod touch game.

The Ace Combat series has sold over 10 million copies worldwide since its inception more than a decade ago. Supported platforms have included the PlayStation, Game Boy and Xbox 360.

System requirements call for iPhone and iPod touch running iPhone OS 3.0 or later.
