Sega’s beloved Super Monkey Ball franchise is back, with a sequel now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. Super Monkey Ball 2 is available for download from the App Store and costs $10.
Super Monkey Ball is a franchise that first appeared on the Nintendo GameCube console. Players control one of four different simians – Aiai, Meemee, Baby and GonGon – as they travel around a world in a giant ball. You move your monkey through 115 different tracks using the accelerometer and touch screen, collecting bananas as you go.
Super Monkey Ball 2 also features mini-games – Monkey Bowling is included, and Monkey Golf and Monkey Target will be released early next year. There’s also multiplayer support for local Wi-Fi-based opponents.
System requirements call for iPhone or iPod touch running iPhone OS 2.2.1 or later.
