Blue Microphones recently added to its consumer line of mics by introducing a new product called Yeti. Yeti is a USB mic, but offers some high-end technology to improve the devices recording ability. For instance, Yeti is the first USB mic to offer Blue’s premium condenser capsules in a proprietary triple capsule array, the company said.

Yeti achieved THX certification, which Blue said is a first for USB mics. The mic has four patterns for recording — Omni, Cardioid, Stereo, Bidirectional — which allows for more versatility when recording.

Blue said Yeti has zero latency, amplified headphone monitoring, microphone mute, and hardware-based gain adjustment.

The microphone will be available in December and will cost $149.99.
