Safari 4.0.4 improves JavaScript performance

By Peter CohenNovember 11, 2009, 2:59 pm PT

Apple on Wednesday released an update to its Safari Web browser, bringing it to version 4.0.4. You can download the update through the Software Update system preference. It’s also available for download through Apple’s downloads Web site.

Safari 4.0.4 improves performance, stability, and security, according to Apple. Specific changes include better JavaScript performance, and improves Full History Searchperformance for users with a large number of history items. Stability has been improved for third-party plug-ins, the search field and Yahoo! Mail as well.

Apple recommends the update for all Safari users.
