Apple on Thursday released iPhone OS 3.1.2, an update to the software that operates on the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS. The update is available for free download for any iPhone OS 3 user, through iTunes.
iPhone OS 3.1.2 purportedly resolves a problem that users first reported with iPhone OS 3.1 which prevented the iPhone from properly waking from sleep. A bug fix has been made for crashing while streaming video. A bug has also been fixed that could interrupt cellular connections until the iPhone is rebooted.
