Ouch, sorry to hear about your difficulties. I've read that they made a number of updates. The home sharing feature sounds real nice..
"Home sharing enables file transfers between up to five local computers of songs, videos and even apps."

Wait, so does this mean I can sync my iPhone to my netbook when I'm on business trips, without having to break the sync to my desktop, and reload everything from scratch?

Please Steve... I've only been asking for this functionality since the 3rd gen iPod.

what a mess! I am having trouble running projects on my brand new 8 core and LP9/Snow Leopard than I did on my 3 year old, non-Intel G5!

Tons of crashes, endless "out of memory' messages, 4 minute spinning beachballs after doing simple tasks (dragging a loop into the arrange window, for instance).

This is a first for me, an Apple customer since 1984. Every other update has resulted in better performance.

On a side note, the closing of the group function at the old .mac service is another stupid thing Apple has done this year. They sent me an email saying that the group function was being discontinued, but my data was being transferred to a "group archive" folder.
Guess what? That folder is EMPTY. Hundreds, if not thousands of posts were all DELETED by Apple.
Apple insists it was my responsibility to "back up" my online database, and that their TOS gets them off the hook...while all the time the Apple emails touting the .mac groups feature heralded it's redundant backups and multiple servers. What they didn't plan on was some dweeb DELETING my shit. BUYER BEWARE!

ok, I feel a teeny bit better. But what's happening at Apple?
