Apple on Tuesday released an update for its consumer photo tool, iPhoto.
Among the changes in iPhoto 8.1 is the ability to create an extra large hardcover book. The $49.99 book measures in at 13-inch by 10-inch and features a satin finish on its dustjacket.
The new version of iPhoto also includes new travel themed templates including “Tropical Travel,” “Asian Travel” and “Old World Travel” and includes new holiday themed card designs and photo layouts.
iPhoto 8.1 is a free update from the software update mechanism in Mac OS X.

Just a little gripe here
“iPhoto 8.1 is a free update from the software update mechanism in Mac OS X.”
Only if you have iPhoto 8. I thought I had 8 but what I have is iPhoto ’08 which is actually V7.1.5. No upgrade for me. (Yeah I know I should just plunk down the $79 for a new iLife but I haven’t.)
iLife ’09 is worth the price.
Yeah, with the improvements to iPhoto as well as the upgraded iWeb it would be worth it. If only I didn’t need to buy this pesky food all the time.
Maybe next month.
LOL — yeah food can get in the way of the things we really want
