Apple on Thursday quietly updated its Time Capsule backup hardware, doubling the capacity of the device.3qnmduysxw
Time Capsule now comes in 1TB and the new 2TB capacity. Typical of Apple hardware updates, the capacity of the device may have doubled, but the price didn’t. Apple is selling the 1TB model for $299 and the 2TB model for $499.
With Mac OS X Leopard, the Time Capsule can be used as an automatic backup device. Apple’s backup software, Time Machine, will find the device and backup all of your files, giving you an easy way to backup and restore your information.
Time Capsule is also a full-featured 802.11n wireless base station that operates in 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously.
I just bought a 500GB version last week.
