Apple on Monday continued its aggressive release schedule for the next major version of iPhone OS 3.1, releasing another beta to developers.
iPhone OS 3.1 Beta 3 runs a hefty 307MB and is available to developers that are part of Apple’s iPhone developer program. As reported by AppleInsider, the company also released a new iPhone SDK on Monday as well.
The betas include the ability to use voice control over a Bluetooth headset and save a copy of trimmed video, among other changes. The update will also reported support augmented reality.
The new beta is available from Apple’s developer Web site.
I love the term “augmented reality.” It implies all sorts of cool things. Most of which are not, of course, true.
How about the dvorak keyboard layout on the iPhone. Is that too much to ask?
Will Apple let us use our iPod radio remote with the iPhone at some stage? I like listening to the radio at times- not ideal to cart around the nano and the iPhone.
I wouldn’t bet on it. I’ve been waiting for this since I got my iPod touch 1g in early 2008…
Still…we can all dream, can’t we?
