Apple launched its iPhone availability widget, allowing customers to check on which iPhone models are available in their area stores.

The widget clearly shows the popularity of the iPhone in many areas of the country as many of the stores report being out of stock for many models. The Web page says that shipments of the new iPhones arrive almost daily.
The widget, Apple said, is updated hourly.
The widget is quite handy, especially if you live in an area with multiple Apple retail stores. Selecting your state will instantly show you which store you should go to in order to get the iPhone of your choice.
Not all stores are showing shortages. States like Massachusetts show availability for most models in all but a few stores.

Pretty spase in Washington state at this moment. 2 stores have no models, 1 has 1 model and 1 has 2 models.
WA’s vast collection of stores numbers four, within 50 miles of each other.
