Update 2: Apple did remove the app.
Update: It appears I jumped to conclusions. Apple did not pull the app, the developer took the app down because it was so popular, it was crashing the image server.
I left my little rant in place, just in case I decide to yell at Apple for something else later on. GOOD APPLE!
BAD APPLE!
One of the greatest things you’ve done on the App Store since announcing you sold 1 billion of them and you completely screw it up. You took down “Hottest Girls–2200+ Topless, Sexy Babes and Nude Models” from the store.
This is not about allowing porn on the App Store, it’s about your role as gatekeeper–a role you should be trying to get away from gradually. This morning’s app was a great step in allowing the individual users to control their own iPhone content.
I know this is a slippery slope and it is your store, but it looks ridiculous when apps get approved and pulled, then approved, then get put in a waiting pattern until something gets changed.
Let people use the fine parental controls included with iPhone 3.0 and decide what they want on their iPhone.

I saw it earlier this morning and already fed it out to my network as well – was SO disappointed to see them doing this.
If there is one thing I would like to see them get under control soon is in App store approval policies…It really is a wild west out there w/ how apps come up and go down.
The developer temporarily pulled it due to its success. It will be back soon, with adult content still included!

Glad to see it wasn’t Apple that pulled it.
I’m guessing we’ll be seeing all those iJiggle apps coming back momentarily.
[...] iPhone porn app entry into the App Store. Shortly after, the app disappeared and I immediately blamed Apple only to apologize later for jumping the gun. Well, it appears Apple did remove the app after all. Apple confirmed the move [...]
